Carlos B. Vainer

Carlos Vainer is a professor at the Institute of Urban and Regional Planning and Research of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Dr. Vainer’s research focuses on the relationship between contemporary urban planning and social movements in Rio de Janeiro. Of central importance in his work are issues of land & resource rights for formalizing communities and capacity building for project-affected populations.
