Jiabin Lin joined the Peking University-Lincoln Institute Center for Urban Development and Land Policy (PLC) in October 2020 as an adviser to the conservation program. From 1995 to 2020, Professor Lin worked at the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), where he was a research fellow and inspector in the Social Development Research Department. He was also the leader of the Supervisory Board of the China Society of Natural Resources, and a board member of the China Development Research Foundation. His research interests include regional policy, territorial planning, resource and environment management, urban development policy, and urban social governance. Prior to the DRC, he worked at the United Nations Centre for Regional Development from 1990 to 1995. Jiabin graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering of Tsinghua University in July 1982, and earned a Ph.D. in engineering with a focus on territorial and regional planning from the University of Tokyo in 1989.
