The purpose of this website is to provide illustrative examples of how to represent ideas and data in order to think about futures and possibilities to shape them through planning. The "packages"—sets of graphics and text focused on a particular issue and task—found on this site were created or compiled by project participants from publicly available data and information or items used with permission. Sources are credited with each package.

We will also, in the future, provide links to other sites that have useful examples.

Copyright permissions we have received are noted with images or text to which they apply.

We have relied in part on images from other sources on the Internet to illustrate envisioning tools. In all cases, we made reasonable attempts to request permission from the copyright-holder. If you believe we have mistakenly or inadequately attributed ownership of an image, please contact us at L-Hopkins@uiuc.edu and we will rectify the situation.
