Publications & Multimedia

Publishing work since the early 1970s, the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy extends the research and knowledge of our faculty, fellows, and associates through books, policy focus reports, working papers, and other types of publications. To reach our international audience, selected titles are offered in Spanish, Portuguese, and Chinese in addition to English.

  • Books document conference proceedings, course materials, and research;
  • Policy focus reports summarize differing viewpoints on timely land use and taxation issues, such as school funding, conservation easements, land information systems, and state trust lands;
  • Working papers report sponsored research on a vast array of land use, planning, and taxation issues; and
  • Land Lines, a quarterly magazine, presents articles on Institute-sponsored programs, research, and publications.

The Institute also produces a variety of multimedia resources, including a CD of the works of Henry George, and DVD and VHS versions of the documentary film series Making Sense of Place on Phoenix, Cleveland, and Portland, Oregon (DVD only); and it supports a public radio series titled Shifting Ground.

All policy focus reports, working papers, and Land Lines issues are posted on the Institute Web site for free downloading. Selected books and book chapters are also available online.
